Barbers Hill High School volleyball coach Casey Veen reached a monumental career milestone recently, recording her 400th victory -- a testament to more than a decade of dedication to the sport and her athletes. Veen, whose 11th-ranked Eagles currently boast an impressive 30-5 record and are all but guaranteed their 24th consecutive playoff berth, crossed the 400-win threshold just a year after securing her 300th.

Barbers Hill ISD has an online ticket platform for reserved tickets for all home Varsity Football games. All tickets will be sold online or at the gate. BHISD has implemented the following processes and guidelines for purchasing tickets to the home Varsity Eagles football games that are scheduled for the dates listed below:

Barbers Hill High School senior Kindal Moreau won first place in the Open Girls 4H Sporting Clays Championship at the recent San Antonio Rodeo Junior Shoot Out, one of the largest youth shotgun competitions in Texas with just over 900 4H and FFA boys and girls competing for scholarships and prizes.

Congratulations to freshman, Gwyn Chen, for earing the Bronze medal in the 100 yd backstroke and finishing 4th in the 100 yd fly! The Hill is so proud of you!

The Boys team—Kolby Stork, Tyler Joines, Brent Mauer, Carter Massengale, and Alexander Davis—has won their last 5 tournaments, including the Bearkat Invitational and the Presidents Day Invitational at Eagle Pointe. Kolby Stork placed 1st at Bearkat and tied for 2nd at Eagle Pointe. Brent Mauer placed 2nd at Bearkat, and Tyler Joines finished 3rd.

The Girls team—Ali Meyer, Payton Brock, Kambre Orlando, Kayden Reeves, and Kora Wells—finished in 5th place.

Cody Simper, the head football coach at Cypress Woods High School, has been hired as the new head coach at Barbers Hill High School, replacing Carl Abseck, who held the role for four seasons. Simper’s first day on the job will be February 10.
