About Coach Abseck
Coach Abseck is entering his 2nd year as the Head Football Coach at Barbers Hill and his 26th year coaching Texas High School Football. Prior to coming to The Hill, his teams at Cedar Park High School where he was the head coach for 6 years, were 71-10, making him the winningest coach in school history with 5 District Championships, State Runner-Up finish in 2020 and were the undefeated 5A State Champions in 2015. Prior to becoming the head coach he served as the offensive coordinator for 10 years at Cedar Park helping the team to an additional 5 District Championships, State Runner-Up finish in 2014 and a State Championship in 2012. Coach Abseck’s only additional stop as a coach was at Wichita Falls High School where he spent 8 years, serving as a receiver coach for 5 years and the offensive coordinator the last 3. Those Coyote teams accumulated 5 District Championships and were State Semi-Finalist in 2000. During his tenure as a coach he has had the opportunity to help send athletes to colleges all around the country to further their careers, including Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor, Texas Tech, SMU, HBU, SFA, Florida State, Air Force, Rice, UCLA, Utah, Mississippi, Louisiana Tech, Midwestern State, UTPB, Delaware, West Point, Columbia, Angelo State, Abilene Christian, Tarleton, Texas State, Pitt State and many others. Additionally, Coach Abseck serves Barbers Hill as the district's Athletic Director, has been blessed to be married to Audra for 23 years and they have two children, Gunnar who is a sophomore receiver at UTPB and Carly who is a sophomore at Barbers Hill where she plays volleyball and softball. About Coach Barker
Sarah Barker is entering her 3rd year of teaching and coaching. This will be her first year at Barbers Hill High school where she is an assistant volleyball and softball coach. She will be getting married in November. Her fiance Clayton plays minor league baseball in the Yankees organization. Sarah graduated from Barbers Hill in 2014 where she played varsity softball for 4 years. Her senior season she was a part of the state semifinal team, who put together a 32-0 season before the state tournament. She received an athletic scholarship to play softball at the University of Houston where she posted a career .335 batting average and graduated with a Master’s degree in sports administration.

About Trainer Carroll
Adam Carroll was born and raised in Decatur, Indiana. He is a graduate of Purdue University with a dual degree in Athletic Training & Education. His professional career began in Plano ISD for 13 years. Adam transitioned to Barbers Hill ISD in 2012 and is currently the Lead Athletic Trainer. Along with his years of experience, comes with accolades. He received the THSCA Athletic Training of the Year Award in 2011. Adam resides in Cove with his wife, Cara, his two sons, Landon (15) & Grant (13), and their Frenchie, Ridge.

About Coach Cauley
Coach Chris Cauley is beginning his 30th year in education and 8th at Barbers Hill. Coach Cauley is married to Kelly Cauley, who is also a teacher at BHHS. They have three children, Matthew, Tyler, and Cameron. He coaches both varsity football and varsity baseball. Coach Cauley has served as an Athletic Director, Head Football Coach, Assistant Head Football Coach, Head Baseball, and Defensive Coordinator over his 30 years. In 2021 the BHHS Baseball Team won the 5A State Championship. He has coached in several playoff games during his career including, 41 football games, 9 softball games, and 86 baseball games. Coach Cauley played both football and baseball at Lufkin High School, Baseball at Texas Christian University, and Professional Baseball with the Chicago WhiteSox Organization. Coach Cauley received his Bachelor's Degree from Texas State and Masters from University of Houston Clear Lake.

About Trainer Cavazos
Tara Cavazos graduated at Texas Tech University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise and Sport Sciences. She began her professional career at Frisco Liberty High School for two years. She went on to continue her career at Victoria ISD for six years and Industrial ISD for three years. Tara accepted her position here at Barbers Hill High School this summer and will begin her new journey as an Eagle. She has two sons Koy (11) and Ryker (8).

About Coach Cossey
Caity is starting her 4th year at Barbers Hill and her 6th year as an educator and coach. Caity has coached several sports at all levels beginning with 7th grade cross country, volleyball, basketball, and track to JV basketball and track. In her spare time, Caity enjoys, running, reading, traveling, and spending time with family, including her black lab River.

About Coach Denny
Coach Denny is beginning his 31st year in coaching. Previous to coaching at Barbers Hill, Denny coached at The University of Houston, Stephen F. Austin State University, and Kingwood H.S. For the last 12 years, he has been the head baseball coach at Barbers Hill H.S. In 23 years as a Head Coach, his teams have competed in 22 state playoffs, won eleven district titles and have won over 530 games. Denny’s teams have played in five regional finals, made three trips to Round Rock and won the State Championship in 2005 and 2021. In 2004, he was awarded the Ray Knoblauch Award by the Houston Athletic Committee and, in 2005, was named the 5A Coach of the Year by the Texas Sportswriter’s Association. He was again named the 5A Coach of the Year in 2021. In 2018 he coached the 5A-6A South Team in the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association All Star Game. Denny coached several summer league teams and was the head coach of the 17U Junior Olympic National Champions in 1997. He has coached basketball, football and was an assistant for two State Cross Country Championship teams Coach Denny teaches U.S. History at Barbers Hill.
As a player Denny was, All SWC and All American at the University of Texas where he helped the Longhorns win four SWC Championships and made four trips to The College World Series in Omaha, winning the National Championship in 1983. Drafted three times he played in the Philadelphia Phillies minor league system.
Coach is married to his wife Terri, has two kids, Kaleb and Micah, who both graduated from Barbers Hill and has a grandson named Carter.

About Coach Eads
Lacey is starting her 9th year at Barbers Hill High School and her 14th year as an educator and coach. Lacey is originally from Clarendon, TX. She was a collegiate softball player at West Texas A&M University in Canyon, TX where she received her Undergraduate Degree in Sports and Exercise Science. She received her Master’s Degree in Sports Performance from Sam Houston State University in 2020. Some of Lacey’s accolades include TABC Assistant Coach of the Year in 2020. As an assistant, she has made several state appearances in basketball and softball and was a Softball State Champion in 2021. In her spare time, Lacey enjoys fishing, golfing, traveling, and spoiling her two dogs Maddie and Rouzey.

About Coach Ellis
Coach Kevin Ellis is entering his 18th year at Barbers Hill and his 32nd year overall. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1991. Coach Ellis began his coaching career at Rusk HS. in 1991 and spent 14 years as a Rusk Eagle. In 2005 he traded his red/black Eagle wings for the Blue/White wings of the Barbers Hill Eagles.
Coach Ellis assists with the Defensive Line and handles all football equipment. In the Fall he coaches the Freshmen A Basketball team. He teaches World History at the High School.
When not coaching he enjoys umpiring HS Baseball. He is currently the president of the Houston Chapter of TASO Baseball umpires.
Coach Ellis has been married to his wife Johanna for 24 years. Both his daughters are graduates of Barbers Hill, Brittany (2011) and MacKenzie (2018).
He also has a granddaughter , Layken , who is entering First Grade at Barbers Hill Elementary South.

About Coach Fuller
Head softball coach Aaron Fuller is entering his 9th season on The Hill. In his time on The Hill he has led the Eagles to a record of 254-43 (overall career record of 337-69), with seven consecutive District Championships, along with two State Tournament appearances (2018 & 2021) including the 2021 5A State Championship. His 2021 team was also named MaxPreps National Champions with a 42-2 record. During his tenure at Barbers Hill he’s been a 5 time district Coach of the Year, the 2021 Southeast Texas Coaches Association, Baytown Sun, Houston Chronicle & Texas Girls Coaches Association Coach of the Year and the 2020 UIL & NFHS Coach of the Year. After 8 seasons on The Hill, Coach Fuller has helped 28 girls move on to play collegiate softball, including 16 to the Division 1 level.
Before moving to Barbers Hill, Coach Fuller spent four years at Hays High School (Buda, Tx) including three seasons as the Head Coach. At Hays, Coach Fuller compiled an 83-26 record, including two District Championships, two trips to the State Tournament (2013 & 2014) and one State Championship (2013 - UIL 4A). At Hays, Coach Fuller helped 10 girls advance to play collegiate softball, including 3 to the Division 1 level.
Coach Fuller graduated from Jarrell High School in 2004 and went on to play collegiate baseball at Midland College and Weatherford College before finishing out his playing career at Texas State University in 2009. At Texas State, Coach Fuller earned a B.S. in Mathematics degree with an emphasis in education. Coach Fuller currently teaches Honors Algebra 2.
Coach Fuller has been happily married to his wife Macy since December 2015. Coach Fuller acknowledges Macy is the real MVP (Most Valuable Parent) for keeping the family running while allowing him to do what he loves. Together they have three wonderful children, Brooks (5), Brady (3) and Brett (born June 2022).

About Coach James
Coach Jason James is entering his 2nd year as a Barbers Hill Eagle, but has coached for over 15 years. He has been an assistant Assistant Coach on 2 State Champion Football Teams and 2 State Runner Up Teams. He has developed multiple young men into successful Defensive Linemen at the High School level and several have gone on to play football in college. Coach James attended the University of Texas in Austin. Hook Em Horns! He received his B.S. in Kinesiology. While at the University of Texas, Coach James worked as an undergrad assistant with UT Basketball Strength and Conditioning Coach Todd Wright. After he graduated, he began his coaching career in Cedar Park Texas. Last Year Coach James moved to Barbers Hill with his wife and 4 kids. He is the Special Teams and Freshman Coordinator for Football and coaches the Defensive Line. Coach James is also an Assistant Basketball Coach. He is currently a Special Education Teacher at Barbers Hill High School.

Coach Kilgo is entering his 23 year of coaching, 13th at Barbers Hill. He is a graduate of Tarleton State University, where he received his Bachelor’s in Exercise and Sports Studies. Coach Kilgo coaches the Outside Linebackers and is the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator. Some accolades during his coaching career include being a part of State Football Championships in 2003 and 2006 as an assistant coach. Coach Kilgo is currently teaching Leadworthy at the High School.

About Coach Knight
Coach Cody Knight is entering his 7th year as a Barbers Hill Eagle, but has coached for over 23 years. After graduating from Lamar University with a B.A. in Kinesiology, he began his coaching career in Bridge City, where his teams were successful, winning fifteen district titles, one regional title, two state runner ups, and one state title in Cross Country. After 16 years there, he moved to Barbers Hill with his beautiful wife and three kids, to teach Special education and coach Cross Country and Track. During his coaching career, he has won the SETX Cross Country Coach of the Year twice, in 2011 at Bridge City and in 2019 here at Barbers Hill. The Cross Country team is currently riding a streak of winning four district titles in a row, and the track team has won two district titles in a row.

About Coach Landry
Bonnie Landry is starting her 4th year as Head Girls Soccer Coach and Freshman Volleyball Coach at Barbers Hill High School. She currently teaches Biology Inclusion and is in her 19th year as an educator/coach. Bonnie has coached soccer, volleyball, basketball, track and cross country at all levels in education. She started the soccer program at Hamshire-Fannett in 2007 and built that program until she left in 2019. Bonnie is originally from Grafton, Wisconsin and is a 1997 STATE CHAMPION for soccer at her high school. She played Division II soccer at Quincy University on a soccer scholarship in Quincy Illinois. She was a 1st Team GLVC Player, 2 Year Team MVP, 2 Year Team Captain and Student Strength and Conditioning Coach. Bonnie received her Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Biology and also teaches Special Education.

Additionally he serves as the High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes Leader. He has been at Barbers Hill for 4 years, previously he taught/coached at Baytown Sterling, and Corpus Christi Ray.
About him- Coach Mowatt and his wife Megan are the proud parents of two daughters Emmalyn (6) and Raelyn (3). They are members of Faith Family Church in Baytown. Coach Mowatt enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, fishing, and going to the movies.

About Coach Pennington
Coach Chris Pennington is beginning his 8th year as the Head Coach of the Barbers Hill Eagle Basketball program. He has 27 years of coaching experience as a Head Basketball Coach in Arkansas and Texas. His wife, Stacy, is the Coordinator of Technology Integration, and his son Bryce is a 2022 graduate of Barbers Hill and is attending Southern Arkansas University.
Coach Pennington grew up in Arkansas where his father was inducted into the Arkansas High School Coaching Hall of Fame. After graduation from Southern Arkansas with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Chris began his coaching career in Arkansas for 5 years before moving to Texas in 2000.
Coach Pennington teaches Health and is also a part of the High School Leadership Team. Chris has won 552 games overall and is 143-94 at Barbers Hill . He has led the eagles to six consecutive playoff appearances. Chris has been named District Coach of the year seven times, and Area Coach of the year 3 times. His teams have won 7 District Championships, and have made 6 Regional appearances. Chris is currently serving as a Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Board Member.

About Coach Piatkowski
Coach Mark Piatkowski is from Spring, Texas where he graduated high school and was a multi-sport athlete. He attended Sam Houston State University, earning a Bachelor & Master’s degree in Sports Management. Coach Piatkowski is entering his 10th year coaching. He started his career as a defensive secondary coach at Hull-Daisetta (2013), Mineral Wells (2014), and Barbers Hill (2015-2017). Most recently, he is coming from The Woodlands College Park serving as Run Game Coordinator/Recruiting Coordinator (2017-2022).
Prior to coaching, he served 8 years with the US Navy (2003-2010) in various Helicopter Sea Combat squadrons as an Air Rescue/Combat Aircrewman. Coach Piatkowski deployed to hostile Iraqi territories in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom & Operation Enduring Freedom. He also spent time stationed throughout Southeast Asia from 2007-2009. He is currently attached to the US Navy as a Selected Reservist & has accumulated 11 total years of service to date.
Coach Piatkowski has 3 children: Emma (11), Mason (10), and Merrick (1). He is married to his beautiful wife Meagan, who is a counselor at The Woodlands College Park High School.

Matt Smith is starting his 12th year at Barbers Hill, 23rd year overall as a coach. Currently he coaches as a Varsity boys basketball assistant and JV coach as well as assistant track and field coach for horizontal jumps. He teaches special education, inclusion US history. He has contributed to 5 consecutive playoff appearances with the Barbers Hill Eagles. This past year, he had the honor of coaching a State 3rd place finisher in triple jump. Matt has a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Texas Lutheran University, a Masters in Exercise Science from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) and a Masters in Sports Management from Texas A&M University. Matt is married to his wife Anne and has been for 19 years. They have two sons. Chase is a junior and Jordan is a sophomore. Both play basketball for Barbers Hill and greatly enjoy the time they get with their dad on the court.

About Coach Thames
Tyler Thames graduated from Deer Park High School in 1985 and went on to play tennis in college, first at San Jacinto Junior College and later at the University of Texas at Arlington. He finished his college career ranked 12th in men’s doubles and 72nd in men’s singles. Coach Thames graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and History.
He began his high school coaching career in 1990 at Clear Lake High School. During the 7 years he spent at Clear Lake his tennis teams won 7 Team Tennis District Championships and he advanced 3 teams to the State Team Tennis Tournament. Additionally he had 7 Spring District Championships, and 10 individuals to the State Tennis Tournament.
In 1997, he moved to Deer Park High School. While at Deer Park, the tennis team won 3 Team Tennis District Championships, 3 Spring District Championships, and advanced 18 players to the regional tournament.
In 2000 he arrived on “The Hill,” and has led his teams 8 Team Tennis District Championships, 19 Spring District Championships, advanced 151 players to the Regional Tennis Tournament and 5 players to the State Tennis Tournament.

Stacy Tucker

About Coach Tucker
Coach Stacy Tucker is getting ready to kick off her 20th year as a teacher and coach and 16th in BHISD. During her time at Barbers Hill, Coach Tucker has taught various levels of chemistry while also serving as the head girls track and field coach for 13 seasons and head girls cross country coach for 4 seasons. She also held the position of freshmen volleyball coach from 2007 through 2017. Under her tenure, the track and field program has won 6 district championships and 2 area titles, along with qualifying 16 athletes to the state meet resulting in 5 medals. 16 ladies have also gone on to pursue collegiate careers in track and field, 10 at DI universities. Furthermore, the girls cross country team is the 4-time defending district champion.
Coach Tucker is a graduate of Sterling City High School, where she was a 5-sport varsity athlete, and Texas Tech University. Her previous coaching experiences came at Lubbock-Cooper Junior High and San Angelo Lake View High School. Coach Tucker has been married to Jason Tucker, who coaches football/boys basketball/track and field at Brazos High School, for 11 years.

About Coach Veen
Casey Veen is entering her 3rd year at Barbers Hill High School, as the Head Volleyball Coach and the Assistant Golf Coach. She teaches World History. Coach Veen is married to her husband, Ben Veen, and together they have 3 children, Grayson (5), Everett (4), and Audrey (4).
Coach Veen has been a head volleyball coach for 11 years and has coached at Livingston High School, Houston Lamar High School, and Goose Creek Memorial High School. Casey attended University of St. Thomas- Houston on a volleyball scholarship. During her last year at UST, she stayed on to be an assistant volleyball coach, as well as joined the golf team on scholarship. She has a B.A. in History, with a minor in Irish Studies.
As a player some of her accolades include: 2x Conference MVP, 2X Conference Tournament MVP, 2X All-Region, 2X All-Conference, Finished 4th (2009) and 10th (2010) in the nation for hitting%, N.A.I.A All American HM.
As a coach, some of her accolades include: 19 athletes signed to play college volleyball, 3 district championships, AVCA 30 under 30, SETCA Coach of the Year, Career Record: 256-104 overall/ 109-30 district.

About Coach Tyler
Coach Tyler has been a Barbers Hill Eagle for 16 years. He is the Middle School North Boys Athletic Coordinator coaching both Football and Track as well as teaching Boys Physical Education.
He graduated high school from Bridge City High School in Bridge City, Texas. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri and his Master’s in Education degree from Lamar University.
Coach Tyler is married to his wife Kori Tyler, who is a 6th Grade ELA teacher at Intermediate School North. He has two children, Kamryn and Kaden, who are also Eagles. Kamryn just graduated from BHHS and will be a freshman this year at East Texas Baptist University and Kaden will be a sophomore at BHHS.
Coach Tyler believes that “Every day is a GREAT day to be an EAGLE”.
Amber Rainey

About Coach Rainey
Coach Amber Rainey is in her ninth year at Barbers Hill ISD. She is currently the Girls Coordinator at the Middle School North campus where she teaches physical education. Prior to her current role, she was a math teacher and coach at the Middle School South campus for four years. While at Barbers Hill she has coached cross country, volleyball, basketball, and track. In both roles her teams have won multiple district championships as well as tournament championships. In 2014-2015, her first year at Barbers Hill, she was named the Middle School Coach of the Year by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches. In May of this year she received that title again for a second time since being a part of the Barbers Hill coaching staff.
In high school Amber was the valedictorian of her 2006 graduating class from Woodville High School. She was a member of the FFA, Student Council, and National Honors Society. She was also a varsity cheerleader for three years and was the head captain her senior year. While in high school she played volleyball and ran cross country through her freshman year and was on the varsity basketball and softball teams all four years of high school. Amber received Academic All-District honors all four years for both basketball and softball. In 2005 she was on the Class AA All-State Team as the first team catcher by the Texas Sports Writers Association.
After receiving several academic scholarships, she decided to further her education by attending Texas A&M University where she graduated in 2010 with a Bachelors in Business Administration.
Coaching Philosophy: You can’t make an athlete have heart, but you can instill great qualities in every athlete that you get the opportunity to coach. Teaching the athletes how to fight for their own success, respecting their teammates and coaches, the desire to win, and believing in themselves is extremely important to me. My goal is to establish great work ethic, leadership skills, great manners, and character for every young lady that is a part of our athletic program.

About Coach Baggett
Coach Chris Baggett is entering his 19th year as a coach and teacher. He has spent the last 15 years as a Barbers Hill Eagle, coaching football, basketball, and track and teaching science at the middle school level. Coach Baggett attended Lamar University and received his B.A. in Kinesiology. In his spare time, he enjoys deer hunting and bass fishing. Coach Baggett is happily married to Kristina, a 3rd grade teacher at BH Elementary North. They have two daughters. Bree, a junior at BHHS, is a member of the Eaglette Dance Team. Maddi attends BHMN and participates in 8th grade athletics and theatre. Coach Baggett is a huge LSU Tiger fan. He even named his dog after LSU’s Heisman Trophy winner, Joe Burrow. Geaux Eagles!

About Coach Francis
Coach Todd Francis is entering his 7th year as a Barbers Hill Eagle, but has coached for over 21 years. Coach Francis is currently coaching middle school football, basketball, and track and teaching Texas History at Barbers Hill Middle School North. Coach Francis was a Head Football Coach at Parkway Christian in Michigan for 5 years where his team won a district championship and made 3 playoff appearances. Coach Francis attended Alma College for his B.A. and Michigan State University for his Master’s in Education. Coach Francis played College football at Alma College and played basketball, baseball, and football at Clawson High School in Michigan where he earned a 1st team All-State award in Football.

About Coach Gibbs
Britney Gibbs was born and raised in Oklahoma. Her family relocated to Mont Belvieu, TX when she was 14; therefore, she was new to Texas and highschool at the same time. Britney is a Barbers Hill graduate, followed by becoming a Sam Houston Bearkat.
Sports have always been a part of Britney’s life. “Sports kept me busy and out of trouble. I learned life lessons and overall had a blast, creating relationships along the way”. Britney started her young sports “career” by clogging/gymnastics at the young age of 4. “I played basketball, softball, cheered, and also became a trainer in highschool. At Sam Houston, I played sports for fun such as co-ed slow pitch softball, flag football and an all girls flag football team. I am currently on a sand volleyball team and hopefully participating in a bowling league again soon. I love coaching, making meaningful connections with student athletes and coaching staff”. This is her 8th year to teach/coach. “I have learned that sports are not everything in life. I will continue to encourage all students to find an activity they enjoy/skilled to pursue. My faith, my son Ty, family, friends, and health are important to me and I hope to influence student’s lives in a positive way.”
Lacy Hanf

About Coach Hanf
Coach Lacy Hanf is originally from Anahuac, TX. She is married and has 2 beautiful girls. Lacy has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology, with a minor in Psychology from the University of North Texas in Denton. She was a student track and field assistant her first year at UNT. She played intramural court and sand volleyball and coed basketball while she was attending school. She also played on the UNT club volleyball team.
Lacy has been a coach for 10 years, 8 of those at BHMSN. She has coached volleyball, cross country, basketball, and track and field. She also coached a year with Xcel Volleyball Club. As a teacher, she has taught both 7th and 8th grade math and PE for 6th through 8th grades. One of her coaching accomplishments is going undefeated in district play. Her passion for the sport and for the betterment of the athletes is admirable!
Tanika Raymond

About Coach Raymond
Coach TaNika Raymond is entering her 6th year as a Barbers Hill Eagle, however is emerging to er 16th year as an educator and coach. She has had experience as an NCAA basketball student-athlete for the America East division, and has had great success at the Middle School and High School level. Coach Raymond attended the University at Albany on a basketball scholarship and received her B.A. in Communication, and M.Ed. at Ashford Univeristy. Some of her accomplishments as a player include UA Player of the year, High Scorer, First Team All-Conference, and Team Captain. Post graduation, Coach Raymond went back to Houston from New York, and began her teaching career at Southwest Middle and High School for five years, where she started a basketball, and volleyball program within the charter school. Upon completing her first five years as an educator, she took a year off from coaching, added a second child to the family and began teaching Reading at John E. Codwel. After a year away from coaching, Coach Raymond decided to take an Assistant Head coaching position in Anahuac Tx for the next three years. Through lots of hard work, and success at the high school level coaching volleyball, basketball, track, and tennis, Coach Raymond decided to come to Barbers Hill Middle School where she currently Coaches at Middle School North, volleyball, basketball, track, and teaches 8th grade ELA. Coach Raymond is married with four children who are Eagles at Barbers Hill and is excited about being part of this amazing community.
Amy Turner

About Coach Turner
Coach Amy Turner has been coaching for nine years. The 2022-2023 school year will be her second year at Barbers Hill.
She participated in cross country, volleyball, basketball, track and field, and softball throughout her years at Aspermont High School where she graduated as salutatorian. She continued her education at Angelo State University (ASU) where she played on the girls rugby team for one season. She graduated from ASU with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a minor in Kinesiology. After a few years of teaching and coaching, she went on to pursue and complete her Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction from ASU.
Coach Turner has experience coaching middle school cross country, volleyball, basketball, and track with her athletes bringing home a handful of district championships in cross country and track, and were district runners-up in basketball and volleyball. She also has experience coaching JV volleyball, and Varsity swim, water polo, and track at the high school level. At the high school level, her athletes brought home district runner-up 2 times in volleyball and made regional and state appearances in track and field.
Coach Turner currently teaches 8th grade ELA and coaches cross country, basketball, and track at BHMSN. Go Eagles!

About Coach Brown
John Brown is the Boys’ Coordinator at Middle School South. He is married to Kristen, and they have a son, Luke, and a daughter, Avery. Coach Brown is a graduate of Sealy High School. He received his bachelor's degree from Sam Houston State University, and his master’s degree from Lamar University. Coach Brown has been teaching and coaching for 20 years, 18 at Barbers Hill. He coaches football and track, and teaches PE.

About Coach Knight
Tony Knight is entering his eighth year at BHISD and 25th year overall. Fourteen of those years were as Head Boys’ Basketball Coach. He has coached at Anahuac, Lockhart, Jasper, and Bridge City before coming to Barbers Hill.
Tony has three children (Tanner, Callie, and Caleb). Tanner works at Valero, Callie works as an esthetician, and Caleb is a Senior here at THE HILL; he plays football and basketball.
Megan Little

About Coach Little
Megan Little was born and raised in Port Neches, TX. She was a 4-year softball letterman and graduated in 2004. She was the starting 1st baseman for the state finalist team in 2004 and DP for the state semi-finalist team in 2001. She received a scholarship to play on the inaugural softball team for Lamar State College-Port Arthur where she led in doubles and HRs. She then transferred to Lamar University where she graduated with her bachelor's degree in Education in December 2008.
Megan accepted her first teaching position in 2010 at Brabham MS in Willis, TX. She taught 6th, 7th, 8th grade math and Algebra I until she left in 2020. While at Brabham, she coached MS basketball, volleyball, track and field, soccer and HS softball. She was part of the Willis coaching staff of the state finalist team in 2017.
In 2020, Megan accepted a position at Barbers Hill Middle School South to start her 11th year of teaching and coaching. She is currently starting her 13th year teaching 8th grade math and Algebra I and coaches volleyball, basketball and track.

About Coach Mansfield
Coach Wes Mansfield is entering his 3rd year as a Barbers Hill Eagle, and is entering his 20th year coaching. Coach Mansfield has coached multiple sports throughout his career and has had the privilege of coaching several college athletes, a World Series champion, and an NFL MVP. Coach Mansfield attended East Texas Baptist University where he was a member of the Tiger baseball team. He was an all conference pitcher and received his B.S in Education. Coach Mansfield currently coaches football, basketball, and track and teaches 7th grade science at Middle School South.

About Coach Stelly
My name is Jordan Stelly and I’m entering my 9th year at BHISD. My entire coaching career has been as a BH Eagle. I work at Middle School South and coach boys football (receivers and defensive backs), basketball, and track (long and triple jump).
I am recently married, as of June 25, 2022. My wife, Mrs. Gibson-Stelly also teaches at The Hill as a first grade teacher at Elementary North. We have been together for a total of 7 years.
I love to hunt (duck and deer) and fish both salt and freshwater. Staying active and being outdoors are my hobbies.
